Agree Realty Corp. (NYSE: ADC) announced that Linglong He has joined the company's board of directors. He is currently the chief leadership advisor at Rocket Central, where she is responsible for executive leadership development for Rocket Companies, Inc.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. (NYSE: ARE) elected Sheila McGrath (Pictured Right) as an independent director. The board of directors also appointed McGrath to serve as a member of the life science, agtech, and advanced technologies committee. McGrath was a senior managing director at Evercore ISI covering U.S. equity REITs, real estate operating companies, and FIBRAs from 2012 until 2022.

Crown Castle Inc. (NYSE: CCI) said Jay Brown plans to retire as Crown Castle’s president, CEO, and director, effective Jan. 16. The board has appointed Anthony Melone, a member of Crown Castle’s board, to begin serving as interim CEO at that time. The board will conduct a search process to identify a permanent CEO. Brown has been at Crown Castle for almost 25 years and served as CEO for more than seven years.

Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE: DX) said its board of directors appointed CEO Byron Boston as chairman of the board and current board member Dr. Julia Coronado as lead independent director. In line with Dynex’s succession plan, Boston succeeds Michael Hughes, who has served on the board since November 2010 and as chairman since March 2017.

Easterly Government Properties, Inc. (NYSE: DEA) announced that Darrell Crate (Pictured Left), the co-founder and current chairman of the board, has been appointed as CEO. In connection with Crate’s appointment, William Trimble, III has retired from his position as president and CEO. William Binnie, currently the company’s lead independent director, has been appointed chairman of the board. Meanwhile, Meghan Baivier (Pictured Right), Easterly’s current CFO and COO, was appointed to serve as president and COO while Allison Marino, its current chief accounting officer (CAO), will assume the roles of CFO and CAO.

Farmland Partners Inc. (NYSE: FPI) said Murray Wise, the founder of FPI subsidiary Murray Wise Associates LLC, stepped down from the company’s board of directors on Jan 1.

Hudson Pacific Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HPP) said Michael Nash has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Nash will succeed outgoing board member Richard “Rocky” Fried. Nash is the co-founder and chairman of Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies. He is a member of the real estate investment committee for both Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies and Blackstone Real Estate Advisors, and he is also executive chairman of Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BXMT).

Angela Aman

Angela Aman (Pictured Left) was named CEO of Kilroy Realty Corp. (NYSE: KRC), effective Jan. 22. Aman will succeed John Kilroy, Jr., who previously announced his planned retirement. He will serve as an advisor to the company through the end of 2024 to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities and will remain chair of the board through his current term.

Aman currently serves as president, CFO, and treasurer of Brixmor Property Group Inc. (NYSE: BRX), where she joined in 2016 as executive vice president, CFO, and treasurer. Brixmor said that upon Aman's departure on Jan. 19, Steven Gallagher, the company's senior vice president and chief accounting officer since 2017, will serve as interim CFO while the company evaluates both internal and external candidates.

Brad Hill

Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE: MAA) announced that Brad Hill (Pictured Right) has been promoted to the role of president and chief investment officer. Hill joined MAA in 2010 and has over 20 years of real estate experience in the areas of transactions, development, and operations. Hill has most recently served as executive vice president and chief investment officer.

Gene Reilly

Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD) said Vice Chairman Gene Reilly (Pictured Left) retired at year end 2023, and will serve as a senior advisor through April. Prologis noted that Reilly played a “critical leadership role in almost every respect of the company's growth and evolution for more than two decades.”

SBA Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: SBAC) named Executive Vice President and CFO Brendan Cavanagh to its board of directors, effective Jan. 1. Cavanagh will serve as a class I director for a term expiring at the 2024 annual meeting, at which time he will stand for re-election. Concurrent with Cavanagh’s appointment, the board will be expanded to 10 members.
