FTSE EPRA NAREIT Global Real Estate Index Consultation Initiated

FTSE Russell, EPRA and NAREIT have released a consultation paper reviewing the most important developments in recent years that have prompted investors to inquire whether changes to the structure and governance of the FTSE EPRA NAREIT Global Real Estate Index Series are necessary and appropriate. They are soliciting comment from all market participants on potential modifications to the global indexes.

The goal of the consultation is to ensure that the index series continues to accurately represent the global listed REIT and real estate securities market and to provide effective benchmarks for analysis, capital allocation and investment management.

The consultation will now close on Feb. 20.
