Anthony Saitta, managing director with FTI Consulting, joined NAREIT editorial director Allen Kenney for a podcast to discuss corporate governance and alternative approaches to executive compensation.
Saitta was asked about the ways in which executive compensation is evaluated in the commercial real estate industry. He noted that evaluations are generally done on both an absolute and relative basis. Boards look at how executives' compensation packages compare with their peer group and also judge their pay relative to the performances of their companies.
