Braemar Hotels & Resorts Inc. (NYSE: BHR) reported that Jay Shah, a seasoned hospitality and real estate executive, has joined the board of directors as a new independent director. Shah has been a senior advisor to Hersha Hotels & Resorts since November 2023 and has been a trustee since 2006. Prior to his role as senior advisor, Shah served as Hersha’s executive chairman, as well as CEO, and president and COO.
Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT) announced the promotion of Stanley Jones to senior vice president – real estate investments. Jones joined Camden in 2007 and previously served as vice president – real estate investments.
Nareit named Cameron Arterton as deputy executive vice president of policy & public affairs to serve as a senior member of the Nareit team and to engage with policymakers about the benefits of REITs and their role in supporting economic growth. She will facilitate the development of advocacy strategies and policy responses, engage with policymakers, and ensure effective communication with external stakeholders and Nareit members.
Arterton joins Nareit after seven years with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), where most recently she was vice president of emerging companies and capital formation and previously vice president of tax policy.
Public Storage (NYSE:PSA) said Chris Sambar has joined the company as COO. Most recently, he was president at AT&T Communications and led approximately 27,000 employees across network operations. Prior to this role, he served in various leadership positions, including sales, operations, and corporate strategy, since joining AT&T in 2002. Sambar is a former United States Navy SEAL and has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the United States Naval Academy and the University of Southern California, respectively.
