Nareit’s CEO Forum & Advocacy Day will take place Feb. 26-27 at the Hay-Adams hotel in Washington, D.C. This invitation-only event is the only political outreach event focused on issues impacting equity REITs, bringing together REIT executives and members of Congress and the administration to discuss important industry issues.
During the Advisory Board of Governors’ meeting on Feb. 26, attendees will hear from Justin Muzinich, United States deputy secretary of the Treasury, who will speak about both economic and policy issues and Adm. Michael A. McFaul, former ambassador of the United States to the Russian Federation (2012 – 2014) and professor of political science and Hoover fellow at Stanford University.
Following the ABOG meeting, REITPAC and other REIT executives will host a reception to benefit the re-election campaign of Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee Richard Neal (D-MA). The evening speaker at the Advisory Board of Governors dinner is Mike Allen, the co-founder and executive editor of Axios, a new company delivering news and insights on politics, business, media, and tech. A political powerhouse, Allen will offer his non-partisan, insider perspective on relevant political issues, the new Democratic House of Representatives, and growing businesses in today's economy.
On Feb. 27, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) will speak at the breakfast briefing on Capitol Hill. Jeffries currently serves as the head of the House Democratic Caucus, as well as a member on both thte House Judiciary and Budget Committees.
