Senate negotiators and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin have been working on an agreement that would help blunt the economic fallout of the coronavirus crisis. Senate Leader McConnell introduced a bill last week that would include individual direct payments, small business relief, and a credit facility for the Federal Reserve to provide support to impacted businesses. In the House, Speaker Pelosi today unveiled a package that focuses on individual and health care related relief but also includes provisions governing consumer debt and loan forbearance.
