Extra Space Storage Inc. (NYSE: EXR) rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Jan. 9 to celebrate completing its merger with Life Storage. CEO Joe Margolis was joined by Extra Space board members, leaders, and local New York City team members to ring the bell.
Extra Space officially combined with Life Storage on July 20, 2023, which resulted in a combined portfolio of more than 3,500 locations, approximately 270 million square feet of rentable space, and a presence in 42 states.
“It was great to celebrate our teams’ success in closing a transformative merger that will create significant value for our shareholders, and to celebrate the progress we have made in integrating the two companies,” Margolis said.
