As a part of the kickoff of the REITworks 2024, Macerich invited attendees to join their property and sustainability teams for a tour of the Tysons Corner Center Campus. Participants gathered in the Tysons Plaza to learn about the development and phased expansion of the site, the impact of adding Metro accessibility to the site, as well as the sustainability features that were incorporated as a part of the expansion project. The Macerich team also introduced the group to its Shopping with a Twist program that recently debuted at Tysons Corner Center, where shoppers are invited to visit participating bars and restaurants and bring a beverage of their choice along with them as they explore Tyson’s stores and experiences.
Macerich leaders guided the group around the property and showcased sustainability features of recent tenant spaces, construction underway for new customer amenities and experiences, its Giving Garden that grows produce for local food banks and the adjacent restaurant’s kitchen, as well as the green roof of an office building on the property. Following the tour, REITworks attendees enjoyed light refreshments and appetizers.
