On April 4, Nareit Hawaii Executive Director Gladys Quinto Marrone was inducted into the Junior Achievement of Hawaii Business Hall of Fame, an honor earned for the positive impact that she and Nareit Hawaii have made to support affordable housing projects by nonprofits.
Junior Achievement of Hawaii recognized Marrone for the notable contributions that have been made to enhance the lives of Hawaii’s youth and their families through Nareit Hawaii’s commitment to give back and help build a brighter future in Hawaii.
Marrone commented, “I participated in Junior Achievement in high school and learned how it inspired and prepared young people to succeed in a global economy. I feel like I’m doing that now with Nareit Hawaii. Having a stable home provides a solid foundation for our children so they can focus on achieving their dreams.”
Since becoming executive director in February 2020, Marrone has led the Nareit Hawaii Community Giving Initiative in the awarding of $2.2 million in grants to nonprofits from the Nareit Foundation and Nareit Hawaii, all fueled by the generous contributions of REITs in Hawaii.
Congratulations Gladys!
