More than 1,200 attendees head to Phoenix this week for REITWise 2015: NAREIT’s Law, Accounting and Finance Conference.
REITWise, which will be held this year from March 31 to April 2 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, is a “hands-on” conference. Attendees at this year’s three-day event should get a clear picture of current developments affecting legal, financial, tax and accounting operations within REITs and throughout the world of real estate investment.
This year’s REITWise program includes 25 sessions addressing a range of relevant topics, such as regulatory issues, financial reporting standards and tax policy. CFOs, treasurers, tax directors and general counsels from NAREIT corporate members will be present at this year’s event. They will be joined by industry experts from leading accounting and law firms and representatives of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Treasury Department, Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Additionally, a breakfast session will feature a discussion of the current political landscape headlined by Fox News contributor and syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin and Kirsten Powers of USA Today, Newsweek and The Daily Beast.
As always, REITWise provides NAREIT’s members with a wonderful opportunity to interact with colleagues. Attendees may take advantage of the opportunity to share ideas and insights when meeting face-to-face with peers from across the real estate industry.
