Nareit Commends House Financial Services Committee for Its Unanimous Passage of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Legislation

Members of the House Financial Services Committee voted Thursday to pass H.R. 4634, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2019. The bipartisan bill introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives would extend the federal terrorism insurance backstop.

Nareit commends House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters who introduced this bill and the bipartisan members of the committee who co-sponsored it for their leadership, and urges passage of the legislation when it comes before the full House membership.
