Nareit Policy & Politics Team Welcomes New VP

The Nareit Policy & Politics team welcomes a new staff member today. John Jones is vice president of government relations.

Jones joins Nareit after serving as chief of staff to Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II (D-MO), a position he held since 2014. Earlier, Jones was director of national security policy for Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY). Prior to that, he was senior legislative assistant for Congressman Al Green (D-TX).

Jones earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota; MA degrees in diplomacy and international relations, and corporate and public communications from Seton Hall University; and a BA degree from Clark Atlanta University.
