Thirteen Nareit members have been included in the 2021 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), a reference index that aims to track the financial performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender data reporting.
The 2021 GEI includes 380 companies across 50 industries headquartered in 44 countries and regions. According to Bloomberg Chairman Peter Grauer, the GEI “increases visibility into a previously opaque area of ESG reporting from public companies.”
Launched in 2018, the GEI measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline; equal pay and gender pay parity; inclusive culture; sexual harassment policies; and pro-women brand.
