REITs across a number of different industries have been named to Newsweek’s 2021 ranking of America's Most Responsible Companies list.
Newsweek partnered with global data research firm Statista Inc. to publish the ranking, using data from the 2,000 largest public companies by revenue to narrow down the list to 399 companies across 14 industry segments.
The detailed analysis covered performance data in three areas of corporate social responsibility: environmental, social, and corporate governance. Newsweek also conducted a survey, asking 7,500 U.S. citizens about their perceptions of the companies related to corporate social responsibility. All elements were weighted to produce a final score.
