REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT begins Nov. 17 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Day one features a lunch panel discussion moderated by 2016 NAREIT Chair Ed Fritsch, president and CEO of Highwoods Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HIW). Joining Fritsch for the roundtable will be Mike Kirby, chairman and director of research, Green Street Advisors; Timothy Naughton, chairman and CEO, AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB); Sherry Rexroad, managing director, BlackRock; and Scott Schaevitz, managing director, Barclays. The lunch general session starts at 12:00 P.M. P.T.
The first day’s agenda also includes a presentation on the economic outlook moderated by John Worth, senior vice president for research and investor outreach with NAREIT. Brad Case, NAREIT senior vice president for research and industry information, and Calvin Schnure, NAREIT senior vice president for research and economic analysis, will also participate in the presentation.
Another panel will look at the state of affairs in Washington. NAREIT President and CEO Steve Wechsler will lead the discussion on public policy. He will be joined by NAREIT colleagues Catherine Barre, senior vice president for policy and politics; Robert Dibblee, senior vice president for government relations; and Tony Edwards, executive vice president and general counsel.
Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts, will speak in the evening at the invitation-only Advisory Board of Governors Reception and Dinner.
