Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: HST), Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD), and Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) have been added to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, with effect from Sept. 23.
The three REITs join two other U.S. REITs that are already part of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index: Kilroy Realty Corp. (NYSE: KRC) and Welltower Inc. (NYSE: WELL).
In addition to being components of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, Host Hotels, Kilroy Realty, Prologis, Ventas, and Welltower are also members of the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index.
HCP, Inc. (NYSE: HCP) and Weyerhaeuser Co. (NYSE: WY) are also components of the North America Index.
Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices are global indicators of sustainability leadership, evaluating companies on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors relevant to their industry.
