Boston Properties’ Ben Myers Says Collaboration is “Essential” for Real Change on Climate Action

Ben Myers, VP, sustainability, at Boston Properties, Inc. (NYSE: BXP), participated in a video interview in conjunction with Nareit’s ESG JumpStart Workshop: 2021 Webinar Series.

Myers discussed:

• Some of the key steps for companies to take to begin to formulate a climate resilience strategy;
• Differences in the types of challenges that smaller and larger companies face when tackling climate resilience issues; and
• The importance of inter-company collaboration with regard to climate action and mitigation best practices.

Myers said collaboration is “essential.” He added that “collaboration is necessary for real change. Transformation of the built environment is a lofty goal and in order to set the ambition and scope necessary to make change, we need to follow the recommendations of scientists.”
