Ade Solaru, founder and CEO of SupplierGATEWAY, participated in a video interview in conjunction with Nareit’s REITworks: 2022 Conference held on Sept. 12-13 in La Quinta, California.
Solaru discussed the origins of SupplierGATEWAY, explaining that “we set about this journey really to create a different vision for how procurement, supplier risk management, and supplier diversity could actually be accomplished.”
Today, SupplierGATEWAY is working with large brands that include Nike, Microsoft, and Major League Baseball, as well as mid-sized companies, Solaru said.
SupplierGATEWAY is also working with Nareit as a partner, Solaru said. He noted that in order to achieve impact on a larger scale, SupplierGATEWAY realized it had to work alongside partners with a similar vision.
Organizations using SupplierGATEWAY are usually trying to address three things, Solaru said: reducing costs by sourcing resources competitively; mitigating risk by engaging suppliers; and making sure their practices have a positive impact on the community.
